First-appointment-of-the-day slots come with tighter windows (typically 9:00–9:30 a.m.). We text you when we're on the way, so you'll know to expect us within the next 30 minutes.
We treat your home with complete respect, but accidents do happen. If something breaks, we'll work with you to repair or replace it — and we document the item with a photo and a note so the conversation stays simple and fair. We're fully insured for exactly this kind of situation.

If you'd prefer we use specific products of your own (some clients with chemical sensitivities or particular surfaces do), let us know and we'll adjust.
Just text or call our office. We accommodate reschedules whenever we can, especially with 48–72 hours of notice. Cancellations within 24 hours of an appointment may carry a small fee, and if we arrive and can't access your home (no answer, key, or code), a $100 lockout fee applies. We'll always work with you - we know moves and emergencies happen.

If your scheduled clean falls on one of these, we'll reach out in advance to set a make-up date. We work most other federal and local holidays, so expect your visit as scheduled unless you let us know otherwise.
Payment is due the day of service. Most clients keep a credit card on file, which we charge the day of the clean.
When you book a cleaning, we give you a 2-hour window in which our team will arrive — for example, 12:00–2:00 a.m. The exact arrival time depends on traffic, weather, and how long the previous home took. We text you when we're on the way, so you'll know to expect us within the next half hour. We work with a tighter arrival window for our first appointment (normally between 8:30-9:30) of 30 minutes.

The best way to make sure your notes apply on every clean (including any visit with a substitute team) is to share them through our office. We add them to the permanent notes on your account so every cleaner who visits your home sees them automatically.
The first cleaning gets your home to a baseline we can then maintain. Routine cleanings preserve that standard but don't have the time to clear out the dust, buildup, and corners that accumulate between deep cleans. Most of our recurring clients start with a one-time deep clean before their first weekly or biweekly visit — it makes every visit afterward faster and more thorough.
We offer weekly, biweekly, and monthly recurring service, plus one-time cleans for special occasions, deep cleans, move-in / move-out cleans, and post-construction projects. Most of our Hudson County clients book biweekly — it's the sweet spot for most homes.
Yes, whenever schedules allow. Same-team service is one of the things that makes Somos different - your team learns your home, your pets, and your preferences. Occasional absences and turnover happen in any business, and when they do we send a replacement team trained on the same checklist with your account notes in hand, so the experience stays consistent.
Tips are appreciated but never expected. Most clients tip at the end of each visit or give a larger holiday tip at year-end — whatever feels right for you. Cash left as a tip should be clearly marked so there's no confusion. You can also tip through an invoice, and we'll pass it along directly to your team.
Very. We use 100% non-toxic, pet-safe products on every visit. If your dog or cat is anxious around new people, we recommend gating them off in a separate room while we work. If you won't be home during the cleaning, let us know how you'd like the pet handled when our team arrives. (One small note: our team doesn't handle pet waste, so please tidy up before we arrive if possible.)
We are a non-discriminating employer and have a diverse, multi-cultural staff. Good communication is important to us. Thus, we ask our clients to the office to relay any notes or requests. We will add this information to the work orders for the team. All our teams are in touch with the office via cell phone throughout the work day. We can easily call a team to relay a message for you even while they are working in your home. Just let us know.
A few small things help us give you the best possible result:
Pick up clutter beforehand. We charge for cleaning time, not tidying — clear floors and counters let us focus on the actual cleaning.
Tell us about anything fragile or unusual. Wobbly furniture, art on weak hooks, glass shelves, antiques — we'll work around them carefully, but a heads-up is always best.
Place fresh linens out if you'd like us to strip and remake any beds.
Tell us about pets, alarm codes, parking, and building access — anything our team should know before they arrive.
